Welcome back, beauty lover! Today I’m sharing my review of the haircare brand that’s helped to restore my thinning hair over the last 3 months. It’s Megi Wellness!
Our hair truly has the power to make us feel great. After all, when our hair looks good and feels good, we in turn feel good.
But if we start to experience hair loss, it can really hit our confidence. For some, this spins into depression and self-loathing.
Most people think of hair loss as a male problem, but in fact up to 50% of women experience hair loss too. In pre-menopausal women, this can be due to the hormonal shifts brought about by pregnancy and especially in the postpartum period. For peri-menopausal, menopausal, and post-menopausal women, hair loss is thought to be caused by female-pattern hair loss (FPHL)."
My experience using the shampoo and conditioner
Now I’d like to share my review of using Megi Wellness products. I wash my hair about 3 – 4 times a week – what can I say? I have 4 kids! I’d love to wash it every day, but I simply don’t have time right now.
The shampoo and conditioner come in squeezable plastic packaging. The products smell natural and beautiful – a light citrus scent. The shampoo is really concentrated so that only a small amount is needed. It lathes up beautifully and I feel like my hair and scalp are getting really clean. Megi shampoo and conditioner would suit all hair types. The conditioner is so creamy and lush, it’s a real delight to use. It rinses off like a dream and my hair feels so silky and swishy afterwards.
The key with both the products is to keep them on for at least a minute to ensure the active ingredients have chance to work. I focus my applications around my hairline, which is where I want to see regrowth the most.
How’s my hair?
They leave my hair clean, soft, and manageable. What’s more, I can go several days between washes with them. I also feel like they thicken my strands in a cosmetic way and help to tame my fizziness. My hair feels like it has more natural lift and bounce to it. I’m so happy with these products! I can’t imagine life without them now and I’ll likely have them permanently on subscription.
My experience using the serum
This serum comes in a dark glass bottle with a dropper. It’s light and watery, has no fragrance or colour. A few drops absorbs into my scalp readily. I start by applying the serum along my hair line, since this is the area I want to target with the serum. I use the serum once a day, but you can use it twice a day for better results.
This serum doesn’t leave my hair crispy or greasy – it’s really perfect. And my scalp feels comfortable after use, despite having psoriasis on my scalp. Since I don’t wash my hair every day, I find it a really quick and easy way to load my scalp with hair growth nutrients while also taming my hair a little, especially if I use it after washing my hair.
